Bamiyan - World Heritage

The valley of Bamiyan in Afghanistan that housed the biggest standing statues of Buddha has been declared World Heritage Site in 2003. The UNESCO needed precise and reliable cartographic data for its administrative tasks.

GEOSCAP delivered:
